Grateful Dead

The Grateful Dead appeared in episode 23 of the first series of this programme.

The Dead's appearance was recorded in January 1969 and first broadcast on either March 22, 1969 or May 23, 1969. Sid Caesar, Noel Harrison and Sidney Omarr appeared in the same episode.

There is a brief interview with Jerry Garcia and performances of Mountains Of The Moon, St. Stephen and, during the closing credits, Turn On Your Lovelight.

There are two DVD releases of Playboy After Dark footage:

• Play After Dark (2006) features material mainly from the 1959-1960 series Playboy's Penthouse. It does not include any footage from the Grateful Dead episode
