This DVD release of six uncut episodes of the Playboy After Dark TV show includes the episode that features the Grateful Dead. Other entertainers featuring in these episodes are Tony Bennett, Deep Purple, Johnny Mathis, Smokey Robinson, Count Basie and Sarah Vaughn. The 3 DVD set also includes a documentary, The Most, from 1962.

The Dead's appearance was recorded in January 1969 and first broadcast on either March 22, 1969 or July 10, 1969. It includes a brief interview with Jerry Garcia and performances of Mountains Of The Moon, St. Stephen and, during the closing credits, Turn On Your Lovelight.
