The Grateful Dead (and friends) Play The Stones

The Grateful Dead probably played five songs during their existence that were written by the Rolling Stones, though only three of these were performed live. The Grateful Dead also covered three songs, Not Fade Away, Little Red Rooster and It's All Over Now, that were hits for the Rolling Stones in the 1960's but these fall outside the context of this page. Furthur, Ratdog, The Dead, Phil Lesh & Friends, The Warlocks, various Jerry Garcia bands and the New Riders Of The Purple Sage have all performed a number of Rolling Stones songs.

This page documents 33 Rolling Stones songs played by the Grateful Dead and related bands.
