The Twilight ZoneTV series1985 to 1988 Three new series of the Twilight Zone were broadcast on CBS between 1985 and 1988. The original Twilight Zone was produced between 1959 and 1964. The titles theme music for the 1980's series was composed by the Grateful Dead and incidental music for a number of the 1985 episode was written and performed by the Grateful Dead and Merl Saunders. Robert Hunter wrote the screenplay for one of the 1986 episodes and wrote a number of the episode introductions. A CD of Grateful Dead/Merl Saunders music from the series has been released;
