The Cockettes

This documentary about the Cockettes includes a brief clip of the Grateful Dead playing on Haight Street as well as other mid to late sixties Bay Area footage. The documentary uses interviews and archive footage to portray the career of the exuberant performance group from 1969 to 1971.

The film was directed by David Weissman and Bill Weber.

The DVD includes 9 additional new scenes, an interview with the directors, TV promos and an original theatrical trailer.
