Notes

The Grateful Dead occasionally inserted a brief instrumental version of the Italian song Funiculi Funicula between songs during shows.

Phil Lesh & Friends played a short instrumental version when creating a 1977 Grateful Dead setlist in a June 2015 show.

The correct Italian name of the song has a comma between the words, accents on last character of both Funiculi and Funicula and an exclamation mark at the end.

The song has lyrics by Peppino Turco which can be viewed at the Virtual Museum of Neapolitan Song (http://www.intecs.it/net/virtual.museum/it_home.htm)

It was written in 1880 to commemorate the opening of the funicular railway to the top of Mt. Vesuvius.
