Composer: Felice Bryant / Boudleaux Bryant

Bye Bye Love was performed twice by the Grateful Dead, with Joan Baez, on 12th December and 31st December 1981.

Written by the Bryants in 1956 and rejected by some performers before being recorded by the Everly Brothers on 1st March 1957. The Everly Brothers version was released in May 1957 and reached #2 in the Billboard pop charts and #1 in the Cash Box pop charts. The song was also #1 in the country charts. The Webb Pierce version was in the top ten of the country charts at the same time as the Everly Brothers version.
