Europe 72 reached number 24 in the Billboard album charts.
The 3 LP set contains an eight page booklet containing photographs of the tour, a list of the Europe '72 shows, ads for t-shirts and LPs and Robert Hunter's (Choirmaster) brief piece about hypnocracy, St. Dilbert, Bozos and Bolos.
Parts of the album were overdubbed after the tour.
