Notes

The unreleased version of Dimming Of The Day included on this compilation is taken from the recording sessions in 1988 for a proposed CBS Linda Thompson album produced by Herb Pedersen. But it was not completed as Linda Thompson, suffering from hysterical dysphonia, was unable to sing. She has not recorded since.

As Richard Williams comments in the liner notes;

So that was it; the end of a career whose evanescence is forever denied by the quality and character of the 20 remarkable items comprising this CD, in particular pieces such as the shimmering I Live Not Where I Love, an astonishgly naked treatment of The Great Valerio and the tender version of Sandy Denny's lovely I'm A Dreamer.
