Bay Records discography This page attempts to list all releases on the Bay Records label. There are no doubt releases missing from the list. Bay Records was started in Oakland in the early 1970s by Mike Cogan. His intention was to record and release an album by Kenny Hall And The Sweets Mill String Band. The venture didn't stopped as planned after that album was released and a series of folk albums followed through the 1970's. Cogan built a studio in his garage to record the early albums on the label and at some point during the lifetime of the label moved to a larger studio in Alameda. After the label folded, at the end of the seveties, Mike Cogan continued to record music at his Bay Records studio. Additions, corrections and comments are welcome
